Got a call saying “If you don’t pay, your internet will get cut off.” Problem is, I’m not even with BT! Total waste of time.

Over the past few days, I've gotten about five calls warning me that my BT broadband is about to be cut off. Problem is, I've never even had BT broadband! Today alone, I got two calls, one at 08:02 and another at 08:54. Pretty annoying.

Be careful, I wouldn’t call back as it could end up costing you around £1500 a minute if you do. It’s really risky to engage with these numbers, best to just ignore them altogether.

my phone number has been faked somehow, i’m not making any calls but i keep getting thousands of calls every day telling me i have. its definitely a scam, and blocking doesnt help since the calls arent genuinely coming from my number in the first place.

I got a robotic call claiming it was from BT tech support, saying my internet was at risk. They then gave me a bunch of numbers to press to fix it, but the funny thing is, I don't even have BT as my provider.

Got a silent call earlier today at about 8.20am. Quite odd really.

this number keeps ringing me non stop, often with different mobile numbers too, claiming it's bt and my internet's gonna get cut off soon. always the same robotic voice. i know it's a scam so i don't pick up but since the numbers keep changing, it's hard to keep track. honestly, just ignore them, it's such a hassle!
