I've been getting calls from fake HMRC numbers recently. It's always the same thing: a robotic woman with an American accent warning me I'm in some HMRC trouble. She asks me to press 1 to talk to someone. When you do, this guy with a South Asian accent, who strangely goes by Kevin, picks up. If you call him out for being a scammer, he just cuts the call straight away. Total waste of time.
