Totally a scam, they've somehow got hold of my national insurance details and now there are fake charges claiming legal action is happening, saying I’ll have to go to court 😵‍💫. They tell you to press one to chat with a so-called police officer about the next steps. Such dodgy scammers but it was quite frightening and confusing at first. Phone companies really should do something about this nonsense.

I got a voicemail telling me that my national insurance number was supposedly used fraudulently. It said to press 1 to talk to an investigator or else I'd face prosecution. I didn’t press anything and just ended the call. Totally a scam!

Got a call from a bloke with an accent, said my National Insurance number had been compromised - sounded like an HMRC scam. I tried asking him where he was calling from and for his details, even asked for the HMRC office address, and requested to talk to his manager. He just ended the call on me. Definitely blocked him.

This week, I got a call three times from someone with a strange accent claiming to be from a “criminal investigation unit.” When I told them my partner is a police officer, they just ended the call.

So this guy got proper mad at me when I told him I wasn't interested. He then asked if I had a fan or a window at home, and when I asked why, he said if I had a fan I should go hang myself, and if a window, I should just jump out and die. After that, he started shouting swear words at me! I wasn't rude at all, I figured these folks probably just wanna make a living like most people, y'know? Really didn’t deserve that kind of reaction.

I used to get loads of calls like this constantly. My suggestion is don't ever pick up because they just won’t stop ringing you. If you try blocking, they just call from a new number. Now, I only allow calls from contacts saved on my phone, so everything else goes straight to voicemail. Eventually, the calls slowed down loads. I still get the odd one every now and then but when I look up the number it usually brings me to this kind of site.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to work for some credit investigation agency. He was going on about a new government scheme that supposedly helps pay off debts caused by Covid. I told him straight up that it sounded like rubbish. He tried to convince me I could just google it and find out for myself. I said if the government was really doing that, the Prime Minister would’ve mentioned it on the news by now, and then he just hung up.

Got a call from a Vodafone number, some bloke named Jason saying he's from a debt company and that I owe money. After a quick round of telling him what I thought, he just cut me off. Definitely putting this number on my block list!

Got a call from some bloke talking about money I owe or something, I just denied it straight away and ended the call, then blocked the number. His accent was definitely foreign. He’s called me 3 times over the past few days with different numbers like 020 3334 9812 and 020 3179 0396. Reckon it’s the same lot messing about.

So, I answered the phone and said hello a few times, but no one said a word back and then the line just cut off. Now I’ve added that number to my block list. I never call back unknown mobiles without checking them first, and after reading the other reviews, I’m pleased I was cautious this time.

Got a call from a woman named Christine claiming she was from some credit investigation agency asking about my debts. Told her I'm registered to not get any unwanted calls and that ringing me was against the rules. Ended the call straight away. Definitely seems like a scam - either trying to hawk something or sneakily get your info. Bit weird that the number was a mobile one.

this bloke claimed his name was jason and even used my name when he rang. he said it was about some debt i supposedly owed. i told him straight up i don’t owe anything and told him to stop calling me. then i just ended the call.

Got a call supposedly from the NHS Covid team checking if I’d been close to anyone who’s unwell. Thought it was genuine, might’ve been something I needed to know. But then they started asking about my life insurance and who it’s with. It’s sickening how they use the NHS and the whole pandemic as a cover to try and scam people. Honestly, they must have no shame, how can anyone feel okay doing that?

Got a call where the bloke asked straight for me by name. He claimed to be from the Manchester Citizens Advice Bureau and was ringing about debts I supposedly owed. I told him I haven’t owed anyone any money for more than a decade and I don't live anywhere near Manchester. After that, he said sorry for the mix-up and figured he must’ve dialled the wrong number.

Some bloke said he was from some debt equity dept or something like that, but when I asked why I couldn’t find them on Google and why they were calling from a mobile, he just cut off. Proper dodgy.

Total scam, no doubt about it. I ended up giving them some info since I was actually waiting on a call from a courier about a missing parcel. The caller said he was working for the government to sort out people’s dodgy debts. I told him I owed a crazy £2 million, all while blaring the Mad Max trailer at him and asking if he could turn down his music. After a bit, he finally gave up but honestly, he was way more pushy than I expected.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from the citizens advice bureau. They said they were checking on some unpaid fines I supposedly have. Strangely, they already knew my name.
