Got a call saying it was HMRC claiming I'd been fined for missing a tax payment. They asked me to press 1 to speak to someone and I got put through instantly! I've never had anything like that from the tax office before, especially not in January, which is the busiest time for tax returns. I asked the person why they were calling and told them I was recording the call, and they hung up right away.
