So this bloke called me, said his name was ‘Owen’ from some place called ‘Swift Management’. He kept saying I’d been in a road accident in the past couple of years, but he reckoned my old house was still my address - we moved out like three years ago! When I asked for the car’s number plate, he couldn’t even give it to me. Got really shouty when I told him to piss off. Had no choice but to put the phone down to stop him.

Got a call from this number earlier, person said they were from First Direct and claimed I wasn’t home and at somebody’s place. They mentioned they’d ring me back again, haha.

Looks like some dodgy scammers or hackers have gotten hold of people's info and are trying their luck with a phishing scam. They ring you up and might even know your name, then pretend to be from some insurance firm (like a national accident registry or something) and say they need to close a case - that’s what happened to me anyway. At first, it sounded pretty believable since I’m dealing with a driving-related legal issue right now, but I’m glad I looked it up here before trusting them. Don’t get caught out! Thankfully, I didn’t give them any of my details.

This bloke called me up outta the blue, wouldn’t say which company he was from. He reckoned I asked for the call, but I told him I hadn’t. Then he called me a liar, said he was certain I’d asked for it. Proper rude, told me to take my meds and stop wasting his time. This was the third time this month they’ve rung me, and every time I get wound up they just laugh at me down the phone. Honestly, I never asked for any call!

I got a call saying either I or someone living at my place had a car crash in the last couple of years. Totally wrong info. Wouldn't pick up if you see this number ringing you.

I was asleep when this number rang me, so I just ended the call. Later, when I was fully awake, I tried to ring them back but it just said I’d dialled the wrong number.

Got a call I couldn’t answer, after loads of other calls all saying something about an accident I was supposedly involved in.

I got a call from someone saying I was due a payout for a car crash claim I supposedly made. They claimed my number was supplied by some "national accident database" - which I'm pretty sure is totally made up. Just felt like a dodgy insurance scam to me!
