I keep receiving calls from this number, which I traced using 1471. Each time, it’s a different person on the line, all attempting to reach someone else. After calmly informing one bloke that he’s mistaken, he insisted they hadn’t dialled the wrong number. It’s rather perplexing, as they seem to be so adamant that my number belongs to whoever they’re after. This polite back-and-forth goes on until I finally hang up. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to handle it?

We've been inundated with calls from this number, and after using 1471, it appears it's a different person every time. Each caller seems to be searching for various individuals. Once I let them know that the person they’re after doesn’t reside at this number and they’ve dialled incorrectly, they don't quite take it at face value. Instead, they get insistent, arguing (to their credit, rather courteously) that they’ve dialled the correct number, and it turns into a bit of a back-and-forth until I finally hang up. Anyone have any advice on how to deal with this?
