I got a text claiming to be from the DWP saying I'd miss out on the 2024 winter heating payment if I didn’t fill in some details by 26th Nov 2024. They said if I didn’t respond, it’d count as giving up my allowance and the money would go to people who need it more. There was a link, and they ended with a message about hoping I have a cosy winter. Turns out this lot has nothing to do with the DWP at all - they’re actually a mobile company selling 3G, 4G, and 5G stuff. Total scammers, so watch out for this kind of thing!
