I got a voicemail from this number claiming to be from some UK government dept about living costs, saying that because of budget cuts this year they’re cutting the winter heating grant or something. Then they say they’ll give me some sort of living allowance but I have to apply quick. It came through on an old phone where my number was forwarded (I keep the old one just for some gadgets I haven’t sorted yet) and it never showed on my main phone so it smells like a proper scam. Honestly didn’t think scammers could stoop this low. What a joke!
