The number it came from was 07879 096170. The payment link they included seemed pretty sketchy to me.2 yearsLoads of texts like this are flooding the UK right now, coming from a whole bunch of different numbers. The cops really need people to send them these messages to track down where they're coming from. Be careful though, the links might have malware in them, so don't tap on them. You can forward the text to 7726 or send a screenshot or copy to '[email protected]'. Hit up the police’s Action Fraud phishing page for proper instructions on reporting dodgy calls, texts, emails or sites.
