On the evening of Tuesday 14th April 2020, at around 8.53 pm, a young bloke pulled up outside my house and left a note on my door. It said something like, "Hello Robert, if you need anything at all - bread, milk, bananas, whatever - just drop me a message, happy to help." At the bottom was his mobile number: 07878-712-246. I wasn’t expecting any random person to leave me a note like that, especially using my first name only. I usually sort my own shopping, so this was a bit unusual to get from a stranger offering to run errands.
