Got a message saying "Hi dad," then another one after asking me to save this temporary number or whatever. Just blocked it straight away.

Got a text saying ‘Hi Dad, my phone's in for repairs - please use this number to reach me.’ I double-checked with my daughter-in-law and, surprise surprise, his phone is perfectly fine! Definitely a scam trying to fool me.
