I'm from Aylesbury and just a heads up - on 16/1/20 around 10:30am, I got called by a woman saying she was from BT, saying there was some issue. Sounded like it was coming from a dodgy call centre abroad. As soon as I mentioned we don't use BT, she just ended the call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media, sounded like they had an African accent. They were yelling into the phone and then just dropped the call. Quite rude!

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming my wifi was hacked because I'd shared my password. She told me to log in and type some stuff on my computer. I pretended to follow her instructions, but when she asked what popped up, I just straight up asked why she was trying to scam me. Right after that, she hung up on me!

Just got a call from 07877932965 claiming there was an issue with my BT broadband. Thing is, I’m not even a BT customer! I played along for a bit though. The woman said I needed to get onto my laptop or PC so she could fix it. When I told her I had no computer (even though I was literally on one at the time!), she asked how I could possibly have internet then and just hung up. It honestly feels like a call centre behind this, with a bunch of people trying to trick clueless folks. They really need to be shut down.

Some bloke from India rang up claiming he was from my internet company, so I let him ask his questions but kept saying no each time, since I stay in a shared flat and have no clue who supplies our internet. At the end, he told me to go f*** my sister or something. Lucky for me, I don’t have a sister so I wasn’t bothered. Honestly, I’d love to phone him back and say that! What a bunch of muppets, how can they get away with trying to scam hard-working folks like us? Proper disgrace.

Got a call from a lady who said she was with Virgin (which is my actual internet provider) and she called me Steve, not Mr Steve, which was a bit odd. She said there were some issues with my router. When I questioned her about possibly scamming me, she suddenly got quite annoyed but kept pushing on. Eventually, I had to cut the call short since I didn’t have time to mess around with them anymore.

I got a call from someone saying they were with the NCA, telling me my bank account wasn’t safe. I just told them not to stress, as I’d get in touch with my bank myself. Then I blocked the number straight away.

Got a ring from someone named ‘Susan’ claiming to be from the NCA, warning me that my bank accounts were hacked and I could be caught up in cyber crime. I double-checked with my bank and luckily everything's fine. When I refused to give out my info to some random caller, she got quite cheeky and basically dared me to call whoever was supposedly trying to break into my account. Didn’t even know what bank she was talking about when I pressed her. Also told me to look up NCA on Google. Seriously, do scammers not reckon there’s such thing as karma? Clearly not.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from the national crime agency. I asked who he wanted to talk to, and he just said “you”. So I played along and asked him what my name was. Suddenly, he got all angry and told me I shouldn't be so rude to a police officer! I wasn’t having any of it and told him to jog on.

I got a call a moment ago from someone claiming to be with the National Crime Agency about cyber crimes. The bloke on the line spoke with an Indian accent, so I fetched a workmate who speaks Hindi to chat with him. After that, they just ended the call abruptly.

Got a call on my mobile at 6:30 in the morning. When I asked why he was calling my mobile, he said my landline had been disconnected. Then he said I needed to be at my computer, but I told him it was way too early and I was still in bed. Suddenly, he told me to cover my head with a pillow and go back to sleep. I said, "What?" and then he told me to smother myself with the pillow before hanging up!

I tried explaining that I’d cancelled the service over two weeks ago but they just hung up on me. I’d say don’t share any info with these people. Best to contact Sky directly yourself.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be Virgin Media saying there’s a problem with my internet and my IP’s being used by others. She asked me to log into my laptop to fix it. Then she handed me over to some supervisor bloke, and when I questioned him, he got a bit dodgy, so I just hung up. Seems to me Virgin wouldn’t ring from a mobile number anyway.

On 09/01/20 around 8:47am, I got a ring from this guy with an Indian accent who said he was with BT. He told me they seen some weird stuff happening with my internet and wanted to help sort it out.
