Somebody rang up claiming to be an energy advisor for my area and said they just had one quick question. I got suspicious when I asked what exactly they were offering, and the AI on the other end didn’t get the question at all - the call just went quiet for a bit (not cut off). You could tell the robot was probably stuck trying to figure out what I meant! Like others have said before, it’s just a scam, so best thing to do is just hang up. There’s no real advisor like that and "saving money" usually ends up costing you much more.

Got a call outta the blue on my TPS-listed phone, someone pushing energy-saving stuff, mainly about loft insulation. Felt like a robot on the other end, given how they responded to what I said. If it wasn’t a bot, the woman didn’t seem too bright, couldn’t get that I was saying 'NO'... They’ve called me before, but this was the first time I bothered to answer and see what was up... then, out of nowhere, they just cut off the call.

I put my number on the TPS list but they just carried on calling, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. The lady on the line spoke with a British accent and was polite enough when I mentioned the TPS, but they didn’t respect it. It sounded like some energy-saving scheme trying to target house owners. Honestly, shouldn’t phones have a proper “Report” button that actually does something about these calls? Just blocking numbers one by one doesn’t really help.
