Got a call saying it was HMRC telling me to press 1 to speak with them. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. If HMRC needed to get in touch, they’d send a letter, wouldn’t they? Had these sort of calls pop up before, typical scam stuff. Be careful and never hand over your details to these types!

Didn’t pick up since I’ve never seen the number before and it seems dodgy. After reading other comments, I’m thinking it’s best to mark it as risky.

Got a call from someone about PPI saying my money should show up in my account in like 90 working days. They kept getting my name wrong and then accused me of making stuff up. When they asked for my postcode, I told them it was wrong, but they insisted I must be confused about where I live. The bloke was really rude and made no sense, kept saying my name over and over in a mocking tone like he was trying to freak me out. Eventually, I just hung up.

Someone called me saying they could reduce my unsecured debts by 70%. Total scam, don’t trust it!

This random number rang me. I answered and said hi, expecting a reply, but got nothing but silence. Then out of nowhere, the bloke called me a bloody idiot and hung up. Really just a pointless waste of time!
