Got a call at half past noon on 12/01/2024 from a number on the TPS list. It was a recorded voice claiming to be from "my bank," but they didn’t say which one. They went on to say there were two odd transactions on my account: £300 on Amazon and £1200 via direct transfer. I regularly shop on Amazon and do transfers myself, so it made no sense for it to be suspicious. They told me to press 1 for details. I just ended the call.

Got a call with a robotic woman’s voice saying she’s from Visa, telling me there’s been a £900 charge on my Visa for some online shopping. Problem is, I don’t even own a Visa card!

Got a call from this number at 8.01 in the morning, nearly missed it, and when I finally picked up, the line just cut off. Looking it up here really helped clear things up. Had a mystery caller from a mobile last week too, but that one was legit - turned out to be a mate sharing some news.

Got a call on my home phone just now. Picked up cuz I was waiting for someone. I said hello and then the call dropped after a few seconds. Looks like another scam, probably from those Indian fraudsters judging by what others are saying. If they’ve got the tech to pull this off on such a big level, you’d think the cops here or in India could track them, bring them to justice and put them behind bars. Honest folks, especially older and more vulnerable people, really should be shielded from this stuff.
