Got a message on 16th Feb from this number saying there was some issue with my last O2 bill and to check a website to sort it out. Knew I'd already paid, so I just left it. Later that same evening at around 8.14pm, I got another text from 07876433765, this time supposedly from HMRC, telling me to claim £286.25 COVID relief money by visiting a site. Didn’t bother with either, just blocked the number straight away.

Got a text claiming to be from HMRC about some covid payment. Thing is, they usually just send letters, never texts or emails. How on earth did they get my number? Feels a bit dodgy to me.

Watch out, this is a scam! I got a message claiming to be from O2, saying there was an issue with my payment and included a link like [#]myo2-accountsupport[###] to click on. I never actually received any email from them, and the website address they used is nothing like the usual one in my legit O2 bills, which is o2[###]. Definitely don’t trust it!

Somebody rang me about a covid 19 payment from the government for everyone in the UK. Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam.
