Got a call from a guy with a thick accent trying to talk me into a phone contract. He was all up in my business asking about my current deal and all that. I told him I pay £35 a month for my iPhone 13, which wasn’t even close to the truth. Then he claimed he could sort me out with a deal for £30 a month with unlimited calls and texts - sounded a bit too good. When I asked for their website, he just kept going “listen ma’am” and said he’d put me through to a manager. Definitely sounded dodgy, so I just hung up.

Just after 2pm today, I got a voicemail claiming there was a charge on my Visa debit card that needed sorting out. It quickly dawned on me it was a scam, so I hung up straight away. Since the number was a mobile, I replied with a rude message. About half an hour later, a different 07876 number messaged me asking who I was - guess they did get my reply. I've now blocked the scam number on my phone, so I won't be getting any more calls from it.
