Absolute rip off! They texted me saying their phone took a swim in the toilet and it’s supposedly my eldest kid, asking for money before some deadline. Total scam trying to con people out of cash.

Got a text from 07876153721 saying “hi mum” which was weird cos I don’t have kids. Then I got another one saying “dropped phone down the loo” and a final one telling me to “use this number”. Obviously dodgy, so I ended up blocking them straight away. Definitely a scam.

Watch out - this was a SCAM. I got texted trying to send money to some random account. I'm guessing most folks aren't that daft though?
