8 monthsI picked up the phone and there was an automated message saying, "Press 1 to approve the transaction or press 2 to be connected to our security team." It threw me off a bit, but I was actually waiting on a big payment to come through, so I thought it might be legit. Thing is, they never told me which company or bank they were from, so it felt dodgy and I decided to just hang up. Later on, I tried calling the number back, but it just went straight to an EE voicemail. After doing a bit of digging here, it turns out this is probably a scam. Definitely glad I didn’t get caught up in it!EE1 yearHad a voicemail from some supposed 'bank security' team - they never mentioned which bank though. They talked about a dodgy amazon purchase, saying it looked suspicious. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.Amazon3 yearsGot a call claiming to be from Amazon Prime saying they were going to take money from my bank for a renewal. They told me to hold on for an agent. It sounded like one of those robo scam calls.Amazon Prime3 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from my bank's security team, but it was just one of those automated scam calls.6 yearsSomeone just rang me saying it was about my life insurance. I asked which company they were from and they immediately ended the call. Strange behaviour!Submit Your Own Report (787482322)
