I told my dad to remove my old number and gave him my new one instead. He ended up asking which kid this was, and the replies I got definitely weren’t from me.

Got a text from this number saying, "Hey mum, just switched to a new phone and number. Please get rid of the old one. Can you tell me if you got this message? x" Seems dodgy to me.

Had a call from someone claiming to be my lad, telling me to get rid of his old phone number. Definitely a scammer trying to pull a fast one.

Just got a message saying, "Hello dad, I’ve switched to a new phone and number. Feel free to erase my old one. Do drop me a line to confirm you got this."

So, this caller acted like they were my son and said they just got a new phone and number. They wanted me to delete the old number and confirm that I’d done it. When I asked which kid it was, to make sure I deleted the right one, they said it was the eldest. Thing is, I don't have any kids at all, so that was pretty funny 😂

Got a call from someone claiming to be my son, but it was obviously a scam. I called him out on it straight away and then blocked the number.
