Got this annoying robocall saying "Your Amazon Prime subscription has expired, your card was billed £95 for a yearly renewal..." When I pressed 2, it just repeated the spiel and then some guy with an Indian accent popped up, "Thanks for contacting Amazon Prime, how may I assist you?" A guy called claiming to be from BT Openreach. I think he sounded like he might be from the Indian subcontinent. To check if he was legit, I asked for some details: his first name was Michael, surname Martin, then the address given was 81 Newgate Street, and I kept asking for the postcode and more info. It was a recorded message claiming to be from Amazon, insisting that my Prime subscription had lapsed. It then prompted me to press 1 if I fancied renewing my membership. As if! I've never been subscribed to Amazon Prime and don’t intend to either. If you happen to receive a call from this number (07874324473), best to hang up immediately. Got a call from one of those robo voices saying my Amazon Prime subscription had expired and £95 was taken to renew it. Trouble is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime! Definitely another dodgy scam attempt.

I got a call from some bloke who said his name was Cole and he worked at Reliable Appliance Repairs. He told me that the monthly cost for my TV’s appliance cover was dropping from £15 down to about £8. I wasn’t too sure what was going on, so when he asked if I wanted to sign up for the cover, I tried to ask where exactly he was calling from, but his accent made it really hard to catch. Felt like a proper scam to me!

I tried phoning the landline, no answer so I hung up. Then, they called straight back a few seconds later. I ignored it again - just so irritating, especially when i'm trying to cope with grief. Definitely not what I needed right now.

Got a call from 07874324473 around 11 in the morning on the 27th of Nov 2023. I answered with a hello, but there was total silence on the other end so I just hung up. Tried to block the number afterwards but couldn't manage to do it. This was to my home landline, not my mobile.

Received a call just a moment ago, and the chap on the other end had a rather indistinct Indian accent. He asserted he was representing BT Openreach, and surprisingly, he had my name and postcode to hand. I opted for silence on my part, and after a bit, he decided to end the call. Quite odd, really!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT Openreach about updating my router’s software. She told me to open QuickAssist on my computer and provided a code to type in. When I figured out she’d be able to take over my PC, I told her I wasn’t comfortable and said I’d ring BT myself to sort the update. She hung up straight away. I’ve since reported it to BT and Which for good measure.

Got a call from an Asian lady who asked if I use a computer. After I asked her three times what that had to do with her, she told me to be quiet and then hung up on me. Quite rude!
