I sensed immediately that this was a bit dodgy, but I thought I’d have a bit of a laugh with this chap who sounded a bit foreign. He said he was from Legal Choice and insisted I answer some “vital” questions.

I'd made a hotel booking and they’d done a £1 transaction as a sort of test, which made me a bit wary at first.

Got another cold call this afternoon from some busy overseas call centre. The caller said they were from a company named Legal Choice and wanted to "ask a few questions," but before I could say anything else, they just ended the call. Didn't bother sticking around, so I blocked them plus all the other numbers that keep ringing me.

I was in the middle of working on something when this person called. Their English was really hard to follow and I couldn’t make out a word they said. I told them I was busy, but they kept pushing to keep talking. Eventually, I had to just hang up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be part of 'UK At Home'. They started asking all sorts of stuff like how old I am, if I smoke, about my house ownership, which washing machine I use, and even asked me to say the date out loud. They said it was for figuring out popular brands and services nearby. Honestly, it left me a bit uneasy, not sure if it was completely legit...
