They claimed to be from HMRC and said I'd get a letter soon. The call came through with an automatic voice that sounded like an American woman. They told me to press 1 to speak with them. I marked it as harassment since they threatened I might be in trouble with HMRC, then mentioned a letter would be on its way, and still asked me to press 1. The American accent was a huge clue - if it was really the UK tax office, they’d use a British voice, right? Definitely a scam number in my opinion.
