Got a call from someone pretending to be my mum, telling me to save her new number. Definitely a scam.

Just a heads up, a scammer called asking me to send over £2900. Don’t be fooled - it definitely wasn’t my son or daughter. My kids always pick up if I ring, so something felt off straight away. Make sure you report it as soon as you can!

Got a text out of the blue just saying "morning mum". Bit odd since I've never been called that before!

Received a message claiming, "Hello mum, this’s my new number, make sure to save it"... as if I’d fall for that rubbish! No chance, I just blocked it straight away!

Someone rang claiming to be my daughter, saying her phone's mic wasn't working but she could still hear me okay. She told me to talk and she’d reply by text, and warned me not to hang up on her. After a while, she asked me to send £2,800 because supposedly she couldn’t get into her bank account. It felt really dodgy, so I just ended the call!
