Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from some government debt office. She asked if I had any unsecured loans and how much I owed. I told her straight up I thought it was a scam and accused her of being a fraud. Then I just ended the call.

Had a really frustrating chat with someone from what sounded like an Indian call centre. Couldn’t make out much from the bloke or find out who exactly he was. He kept going on about some loan I might have that could be cancelled through a government plan. Really annoying and I’m pretty sure the name he gave wasn’t actually Ricky!

Somebody just rang me up saying I have unsecured loans and offered to clear them for me. They said they’d fix everything if I gave them my IP address first, then they’d send a link so I could type in my bank details. Sounds a bit too generous to be true!

You can text 'scam caller' to 7726 to report it, the networks will look into it and block the number. If it’s a suspicious text, just forward that over to 7726 instead, and they’ll deal with it too.

Somebody I dont know kept ringing me three times within just a couple of minutes then just hung up. Really strange.

It's mad that phone companies still haven’t sorted this out, considering so many people talk about this kind of harassment happening all the time. Got a call this morning saying it was from by about my internet getting cut off, they said press 2 so I did. Then a woman answered claiming to be from by, but I told her she didn’t sound like she was really with them and she just hung up on me. These scammers need to be stopped, it’s ridiculous.

Got a recorded message in an American accent claiming they were calling from BT, saying my phone would be cut off if I didn't press a button. Since I’m not even a BT customer, I knew it was a con. Got a call from someone saying they were with ukam or something like that, asked if they could speak to the lady of the house directly. They insisted it wasn’t a sales call, just some sort of “courtesy” check or something - sounded like a line straight out of a scam book. The woman on the other end was hard to understand, loads of weird background noises like it was over the internet. Told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call pretty quick.
