I gave it to my niece to check, but all she got was silence and the dialling tone.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a PPI refunds team, asking me to verify which bank I had a personal loan with back in 2005. Sounded dodgy to me, even though they had my name, address and number. I reckon if I’d given them the bank details, they’d probably try to claim any PPI compensation for themselves. I told them I didn’t recall the bank name and they said they’d call me again once I’d checked. Honestly, don’t hand over your bank info to people like that, it’s likely a scam.

I picked up, and they ended the call both times today without saying a word.
