Saw on the news, BBC Watchdog or something, about texts claiming your parcel couldn’t be delivered and asking you to tap a link. Luckily, I just deleted the message right away without clicking on anything!

Back in April 2021, I got a dodgy text on my phone saying something like "Your parcel couldn't be delivered as fees weren't paid. To sort it out, go to [#]fee-mydelivery[###]/". Since I wasn’t expecting any package, it seemed fishy. I tried to open the link on my PC with Chrome and immediately got a big red warning screen from Chrome saying "Deceptive site ahead" with loads of security warnings. Definitely a phishing scam to watch out for!

Received a message about some unpaid charge, but I didn’t bother to open it.

Got a text from this number claiming my package couldn’t be delivered 'cause of some unpaid charge. They asked me to go to a website "[#]fee-mydelivery[###]/" to sort it out. Turns out, other people already flagged this number for pulling the same trick. Definitely a scam.
