I got a ring from 07868 814 512 about a fortnight back, some lot claiming I asked for a quote on solar panels. Absolute rubbish, I never asked for anything like that and I live in a rented place - wouldn’t my landlord be the one sorting this out? Proper scam if you ask me! Someone on here mentioned keeping a whistle near their work phone to annoy these scammers - might give that a go myself. Best way to give these con artists an earful!

I was just asking about solar panels, hoping to get a ballpark figure, but they kept pushing for a full property survey. Feels like a dodgy scam, and I think they managed to get me on the line. From what I worked out, it’d take like 30 years to just break even! Like, no thanks to anything that’s gonna have the planet roasting.

On Sunday, I decided to get a quote for solar panels through theecoexperts.co.uk. Since then, I’ve been bombarded with about nine calls, all from various UK mobiles and numbers from different areas. Quite frustrating!

Got called two times yesterday from this number saying I’d asked for a quote about solar panels earlier that day, which confused me since we never use that phone to make calls. They already had my name and postcode though. I reckon it might be connected to some solar companies who gave quotes a couple of years back through a council scheme. They tried again today but I decided not to pick up.
