Received a text from 0786 697 6272 claiming that a bunch of people were poised to approve a loan for us. The problem is, we’ve never applied for any loan, and just to be clear, our name isn't Emily! Clearly, it's a dodgy scheme unfolding here. It's worth noting that this was on a shiny new phone of mine, as I've yet to get in touch with the network provider. I also got a missed call from 0870 070 8105. Not planning to answer either of those, that's for sure!

Received a text from 0786 697 6272 claiming they were poised to approve our loan. The thing is, we’ve never applied for such a thing, and they referred to us as Emily, which is not our name at all! It’s clearly a scam in progress. Plus, this is a brand new phone, and we’ve yet to reach out to the provider, so it’s all very suspicious. Also got a missed call from 0870 070 8105, but I won’t be picking up the phone for either of those numbers!
