Got a call from an Asian lady telling me my PPI claim was approved and told me a sum of money. She already had my address and wanted me to verify my details and which bank I use. I asked her to prove who she was and mentioned Barclays, I said was she guessing? She then asked if that was correct. I pushed back and said if she’s the one calling, why am I the one confirming? Then she just ended the call. I reckon I should follow up and ask what the call was really about.

This bloke told me (almost word for word) after I said I wasn’t interested, "you know what I’ll do if I get mad? I’ll turn up at your place and give you a good hiding", then finished with "I’m coming round to your house to do whatever I like". As someone who’s 6 foot 2, weighs 15 stone and trains in Krav Maga, I’d be more than happy to have a go at him.

Got 4 calls in the past day from someone claiming to be from the benefits department. Yeah right, their idea of benefits is pushing life insurance on me! The first call I just ignored and hung up. The next three times I told them to take me off their list! I reminded them my number’s on the TPS register. Let’s see if they actually stop or not.

Got two calls from the same person today. The first time, he called me “Mistress” instead of Mrs, which was a bit odd. Then he went on about extra perks for my life insurance. When I asked which company I had my policy with, he couldn’t say, so I ended the call. Blocked the number after that, but he rang again from a withheld number. Told him to knock it off. I’ve also signed up to the telephone preference service now - hoping it puts an end to these calls.

They say they're from UK Life Protect, but when I looked them up and rang the real UK Life Protect after the annoying call, it wasn’t them at all. The actual company knows someone's pretending to be them and they've reported it to the proper authorities. The trouble is, these scammers keep switching their phone number. Seriously, which insurance brokers or comparison sites would be phoning from a mobile number anyway?

Rude, clueless men and women calling from so-called government agencies, some banging on about life insurance or benefits, others just staying silent. Their English is awful and they act way too familiar. I get so many calls every day it's honestly harassment. I've told them repeatedly not to call, but they ignore me and keep ringing. The moment you mention the cops, they hang up straight away. If you shout at them, they end the call too. Shouting is a bit of cheap stress relief honestly. Maybe one day one of them will figure out there are better jobs out there. Sending love and peace.

There’s this firm called UK Life Insurance - honestly, such a pain. Don’t even bother answering, just block their number straight away. They’ve phoned me about three times every single day this week. And when you tell them you’re not keen, they start getting all pushy and rude!!

The callers sound Asian and come across very confident, but way too casual for a proper business call, like they don’t really know what they’re talking about. Definitely seems like a scam, but they’re using UK mobile numbers. You’d think the mobile networks would have to stop this kind of thing for good! I also got a near identical call supposedly from the Benefits Office saying I was owed money - what a joke! When would the Benefits Office ever just ring you up offering cash?!
