Got a call from a bloke named Peter, sounded like he had a thick Indian accent, claiming to be from some Telephone refund team, said I had £210 waiting for me. Kept asking what company it was for, about four times, and he eventually said BT. When I told him I wasn’t a BT customer, he switched to Sky instead. He read out my phone number and postcode correctly, then asked for my date of birth. I refused to give any details over the phone and asked why he couldn’t just send a cheque. He just hung up on me after that, so I’m pretty certain it was a scam.
