Got a call from a so-called Amazon number claiming someone in the US spent about £700 through my account. They asked for my details and said they'd send a verification code via text, but I never got anything. I checked straight away with Amazon (this isn't the first time it’s happened to me) and they confirmed there was no purchase. Pretty clear it’s a scam to scam personal info out of you.
