Got a call from some bloke with a foreign accent saying he was from the telephone preference service. He actually knew my name and where I lived, but sounded like he wasn’t a native speaker at all. I asked what he was selling and he quickly said he wasn’t selling anything. When I pressed him on what the call was about, he just cut me off. Pretty obvious it was some dodgy scam, especially since it was coming from a mobile number too. What a waste of time!
