Got a recorded message saying it was Ofcom warning me my internet had been compromised, threatening to cut off my service in a day unless I acted. The automated voice told me to press 1 to fix the problem - which I avoided doing. If you do press 1, it apparently puts you through to a premium number that can end up costing you a fortune. Ofcom have confirmed they never reach out like this, so it’s a total con. If you get one of these calls, just ignore and hang up straight away!
