Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying my internet was hacked. She said she worked for BT Openreach, but my provider isn’t BT at all. Pretty sure it was just a scam.

I got a call from a bloke on 0743 who spoke with an Indian accent, said he was with BT Openreach and told me my internet had been hacked. He wanted me to give him details so he could fix this “hacking” issue and promised to install top security software afterwards. When I refused to share any info about my phone or anything else, he said my internet would be cut off. I just told him to go ahead then. He then said alright, have a good day! Just thought I’d share this to warn others - hopefully these scammers get caught and punished properly.
