Got a call from an automated voice saying there’s a claim against me registered with HMRC, and if I didn’t hit 1, I’d be held responsible and face prosecution. I work in government myself, and can tell you for sure no official government body would call from a mobile number or leave a pre-recorded message out of the blue like that. It’s definitely a scam.
