Got a Whatsapp from a woman called Linnea asking for Tommy, then quickly saying sorry for the mix-up. Three weeks passed and she messaged out of the blue again, making small talk and then wanting to add me on another number. Pretty pushy, to be honest. When I looked up that second number, turns out it’s a scam as well.

Yet another guy with an Asian accent calling. Don't pick up! He claimed he needed to check some security stuff on my Windows computer, so I played along a bit but got suspicious when he asked me to enter a code on my PC - probably their way to get into your system. Seriously, don't share any info with these lot. I've had 3 different numbers ring me in just one week. Every time I pick up, I just tell them I’m onto their scam and hang up!

I had to block 07865 879249 since I saw similar reports on another site (something about windows or banking) just like here, but now he’s ringing from 07865 003652 instead. Looks like he’s holding onto your number but swapping to new ones so blocking doesn’t work.

A person pretending to be from Microsoft tech support called me, saying they'd found malware on my computer and needed to be at my screen to sort it out (which I reckon was just a way to get remote access). When I said I'd check the official site and ring back, she said that wasn’t an option and insisted I call the number she was about to give me ;-) The number she gave was 020 3770 6991, and it also appears to be linked with scam alerts.

I got a call from this number and the guy said his name was David. He told me my computer had some kind of error and there was a problem with it. When I asked for more details, he just said I wouldn’t understand unless I was right in front of the computer. Later, he rang me again from +231 (0) 14902513. When I said it sounded fishy, he asked who told me that and then hung up. I reckon they probably use a bunch of different numbers to try and reach people.

Got a call from a woman claiming my computer was having issues. Had some free time, so I let her walk me through what she said was fixing it. Clearly I wasn't actually doing anything. Then I started asking her what exactly she was up to. Asked which company she worked for, but she said it was confidential. When I asked where she was calling from, she said Reading, Berkshire. Asked for a postcode, but she refused. Told her she should be embarrassed, haha. Now she says she’s gonna block my licence agreement or something!

Total scam!! I got a call from a woman saying she was calling about hackers trying to access my computer. I told her I don't have a computer at all, so she switched and asked about a laptop instead. Playing along, I asked if an iPad counted as a laptop. She said no, so when I said that was all I had, she quietly told someone nearby, "It’s an iPad," loud enough for me to hear. Then she just hung up. Suspicious much!

There was silence for about 40 seconds at the start of the call, then the person finally said hello. They claimed to be from BCC, but when I asked what BCC meant, the name they gave didn’t line up with those letters. They then said I’d never made a claim with my bank. I told them I had, and then they just ended the call.

Got a call from this number just now, they asked for me by name (used my full name), then mentioned a postcode and asked if it belonged to me, which it didn’t. Told them it wasn’t mine and they just ended the call. This same kind of call has happened a few times from different mobiles. I’m going to block this number and the others too. Watch out, folks.

Got a weird call from a guy with an Asian accent, number 07865 003652. He claimed to be from Windows security. When I asked why he was calling me, he said it was to check my computer’s protection. He asked if I was the "main owner" of the PC, but when I replied "You lot!", he hung up straight away. Going to report this to Action Fraud.

I just got a call from some bloke claiming he was from Windows, saying my computer was full of errors and he needed to check it out! I told him I wasn’t by my computer, and he said he’d call back in the morning. Bet he forgot I usually report any errors straight to Microsoft and they sort it with updates! Definitely blocking this number now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft saying my computer had problems. They asked me to open the run command (ctrl+r) and type some stuff to “fix” it but I kept telling them ctrl+r wasn’t doing anything, which really annoyed them. Then they got cheeky and said they thought I wasn’t actually at my computer and was just wasting their time! I told them I was right there on my Mac and they hung up soon after. Feels like I dodged a bullet and blocked the number!

Just got a call from 07865003652, the bloke said I was due £2000 from a PPI claim I supposedly made last year. He even read out my old address, but we’ve since moved. I naively told him the name of our new place but didn’t share any other info. He mentioned his supervisor would call back with more details. My husband reckons it’s a con, so I looked up the number and saw loads of people have checked it too. I’m definitely not answering if he rings again.
