Got a message about a new payment for Mr Jones through what was supposed to be my husband’s HSBC app. Thing is, he doesn’t even have an HSBC account or the app installed. Bit odd, innit?

I've been getting texts from different numbers like 07308269670, so watch out for that. The message says something like: HSBC - New payee added for MR C JONES on your HSBC mobile banking app. If you didn’t do this, go to security dot hsbcuk dot confirm-enter dot com. I actually clicked the link and put in my username before I figured it was probably a scam and stopped there. Just be careful with these dodgy messages.

Got a text saying HSBC asking me to confirm a new payee named MR C JONES added to my account using their mobile banking app. If you didn’t do this, they told me to go to security.hsbcuk[###]nfirm-enter[###]. Looks like a total scam, just ignore and delete it!
