Had a dodgy call from someone claiming to be Mastercard and Visa from my “bank”. They said I’d just spent £900 abroad on my card and if I didn’t ok it, I should press 1. First off, never press 1. Second, Mastercard and Visa are separate companies anyway. Third, the caller never actually said which bank they were from. And fourth, when I rang 1471 to check, the number definitely wasn’t from any bank I know. Total scam.
