11 yearsHonestly, just ignore them, it's definitely a dodgy PPI scam. I'm signed up with the preference service too, but scammers couldn't care less about that sort of thing. You should definitely report it to actionfraud.Telephone Preference ServiceAction Fraud11 yearsGot a call earlier and it sounded like they were on about a loan. I got passed from one person to another a few times, then after another ring, they just hung up on me.11 yearsI got two calls about a week apart from someone claiming to be from the "PPI Repayment Centre." They asked if I knew about a loan I supposedly took out and paid off, which had PPI on it, and said I was owed money back. The person said they were personally looking into it for me and gave me some "info" before putting me through to another adviser. But they told me I had to say I remembered the loan before they'd send any paperwork or cheque for the refund. They already had my name, address, and phone number, which must be from some databases out there, but didn’t ask for any other details and I didn’t give any. Oddly enough, I was told I had to be under 75! Considering they called my mobile and their accents weren’t English, it all felt very dodgy to me.PPICentre11 yearsThese lot rang me up once, the first one told me not to mention to the other that I wasn’t certain about a loan I supposedly took out in 2003 for £5000 with Lloyds, which I actually cleared by 2008. Then the second caller told me to sound more confident when this number was going to ring me again in a couple of minutes. When they called again, they acted like they had no clue about it and even asked if I was sure I heard right! It was really fishy - they had me doubting myself over stuff I knew was totally false.Lloyds11 yearsGot a call about PPI claims even though I'm on the preference service list. Strange how they still manage to ring me!11 yearsI got a call about PPI from 02151215115, then they passed me on to another advisor who later called me back using this number. Quite annoying, really.11 yearsGot a call from someone named Sarah who said she was with financial claims. Total cold call trying to push personal injury stuff.SarahSubmit Your Own Report (07862 623333)
