Received a text masquerading as the Royal Mail, claiming there was an attempted delivery. Clearly a dodgy scam.

Someone rang saying they were from DHL about a missed parcel. I've been at home all day, so I know I haven't missed anything. I tried to get more info, asking them when they supposedly tried to deliver it and who the sender was. After a bit, they just ended the call.

Got a call from 07862 108555 claiming to be from DHL. The woman said they’d emailed me about a parcel in my name and asked if I still wanted it delivered (the email address she mentioned was totally wrong). When I asked for the delivery address, she couldn’t give me any details, just saying the package was with their shipping team. Completely dodgy and a total SCAM. Definitely don’t hand over any info!

Got a parcel from DHL that went missing twice 😂. They said they’d text me but ended up emailing instead. Feels a bit dodgy. And in the background, can hear loads of calls from people trying to scam others. Are these scammers actually employing people just to scam?

So, today someone rang me pretending to be from DHL, but the funny thing is, a couple of weeks back they tried the exact same trick saying they were from Royal Mail. Anyway, same story every time - apparently I’ve got a parcel sitting in the depot that I haven’t paid for yet. Total scam, obviously.

Some woman called, said she was doing a health survey about Covid-19, asking what info we'd got about it. I’m absolutely fed up hearing about Covid every single day since January, so I just said no thanks and ended the call. Then she rang straight back again, so I told her to stop bothering us and hung up once more!

Got a call from a woman claiming she was with Royal Mail, saying there was a missed delivery and I had to pay a fee to get my parcel. I wasn’t falling for it though and kept her talking for ages just to see where she’d go with it. Definitely a scam.

Totally a scam! I got called by a lady with an Eastern European accent who kept mentioning some old email of mine. She was trying to get me to pay £2.99 for a parcel supposedly sitting at Royal Mail in Brighton, just like others have said here.

Just like everyone else has noted, I had a similar run-in. I entertained them for a short while, then I requested to chat with the manager. When they arrived, their voice was strikingly familiar as well. I inquired about a parcel that apparently had the wrong address and a slightly off email. To top it off, they claimed it was 10kg and a mere 11cm in size! Honestly, what a daft con artist; anyone with a shred of sense would know those measurements are utterly nonsensical unless I had ordered a solid steel block or something equally ridiculous.

I encountered a similar situation; she asked me to sign in and complete a form. I informed her it seemed dodgy and promptly ended the call.

I reckon the woman on the phone had a Polish accent, though I’m no expert on that stuff. She claimed to be from Royal Mail, telling me about a parcel delivery. She mentioned my old email address, so I gave her my updated one instead. She said thanks and ended the call. It all felt a bit off, and when I looked up the number a few hours later, turns out loads of others got that same call.

I've been inundated with calls this past week, all urging me to check my email for a message from Royal Mail regarding a parcel that's supposedly gone adrift from AMAZON. They claim they've misplaced the tracking number and want me to cough up £3.99 for a card payment to finalise the delivery. When I mentioned that her call was coming from NIGERIA, she promptly ended the conversation. Just to clarify, I don’t even shop with AMAZON, and I certainly know they don't deliver items without a fee!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Royal Mail, saying there was a parcel waiting for me. She told me I had to respond to an email and pay £2.99 to get it delivered. Received a rather dodgy call from a woman pretending to be from the Royal Mail delivery centre, insisting she needed some personal info to sort out a supposed delivery. Just had an interesting call from a foreign woman claiming to be from the Royal Mail at Faringdon. She mentioned they had a parcel for me that lacked an address label. Oddly enough, she asked me to verify my email - which she already seemed to have. Apparently, she’d send over an email to confirm my home address. She also brought up a £2.99 fee that would apply only if I hadn’t already sorted out the postage. To complicate matters, I’m actually awaiting a delivery from abroad at the moment, which is likely why I even entertained the conversation in the first place!

Utterly fraudulent! Picking up from my previous message, I recently received an email which I promptly deleted, recognising it as a blatant scam. Shortly after, the same number attempted to call me again. We were disconnected twice, and on one occasion, the caller actually reprimanded me for terminating the call! After that, she managed to reconnect just to repeat herself… what a farce! It’s safe to conclude that this is definitely a scam, wouldn’t you agree?

A woman with an Asian accent rang me up, saying she was from Royal Mail and had a parcel waiting for me in London. She wanted me to verify my personal info so she could send an email with a link for me to collect it. I told her that Royal Mail doesn’t usually do things like that, and when I asked her what company the parcel was from and how big it was, she got really rude, called me a b**** and said she’d hold onto the parcel since I was being difficult. Then she just hung up on me.

I've had calls from the same number about 3 times now. Each time I told them to stop ringing me, but they just ignored what I said. The lady who spoke sounded like she was from the post office, and what creeped me out was how she knew my email and my phone number! Do these scammers not have anything better to do with their time? What worries me most is the older folks and those who are vulnerable - they're the ones who might end up handing over bank info to these people. It’s really sad.

I got a call from a lady who sounded like she was Asian, saying she worked for Royal Mail. She said she knew my name but nothing else, then asked for personal info supposedly to sort out a parcel delivery. It felt odd since, first, she called from a mobile, second, I wasn’t expecting any parcel, and third, how on earth did she get my phone number? Bit fishy if you ask me.
