Today I got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank’s security team saying there were two suspicious transactions on my account. They said one was £199 and the other was for a bigger sum. The £199 one supposedly came from Amazon, which is weird since I don’t shop there. They told me if I recognised the charges to press 1, but if not, to press 2 to report it. I just hung up and ignored it. Later in the day, I received the same type of call again, but the number this time was 07436 250769.
