Got a ring from someone named Michael, said he was from some UK pharmacy or something? He sent me a code on WhatsApp, saying it was for a group chat and wanted it right away. Then on my WhatsApp, a message popped up saying “Code for new phone”. After that, he got really annoyed and kept pushing for the code. Turns out, according to WhatsApp, this kind of alert means someone tried to register your number on their phone. So basically, he was trying to hack into my WhatsApp account.
