I got a call claiming to be from HMRC saying I was being investigated for tax evasion and if I didn’t press 1, they’d issue an arrest warrant. I pressed 1 just to see what would happen but it was obvious a scam straight away. A woman with an Indian accent picked up, said she was from HMRC and asked how she could help. I told her to go waste her time somewhere else and then ended the call. Just so you know, HMRC doesn’t ever call you like that.
