On Wednesday, the 15th of May 2024 at 11.21am, I got a call from 0786 1077 281, which looked like a landline. There was a robotic woman saying something about two suspicious charges - one £300 on Amazon and another £1000 for an overseas money transfer. She said if I wanted to cancel, I needed to press button 1 or 2 to reach Security. I pressed through, and was connected to an office with loads of background chatter, but before I could say anything, the call just got cut off. Honestly, it felt like a classic scam to me.
