Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, but I’m pretty sure it was a scam. The guy told me my IP address was exposed to hackers and offered to help me sort it out. Total nonsense. His real goal was to trick me into installing remote access programs like TeamViewer or AnyDesk so he could get into my computer or phone. Once inside, he’d probably pinch personal info, set up spyware, and then demand a load of cash to “repair” an internet issue that didn’t even exist. When I called him out on it, he flew off the handle, swearing and making hollow threats. Definitely dodgy.
