Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I was owed a tax refund of over £1500. She asked for some personal info to verify my identity. Sure thing, I said, just send a letter or contact my work instead. She kept pushing, saying it’s way faster if we do it over the phone and I could see the money in my account by morning. As if HMRC moves that quick! Didn’t hang about and blocked the number right away.

Got a call from an unknown number again, but they didn’t bother to leave a message. Pretty clear it was just one of those annoying scam or fraud calls, probably trying to waste my time. Not interested at all! Blocked straight away.
