I got a call from 07860432916, some bloke saying he was from my housing office. First off, why would they be ringing me at half past five? And on a mobile no less. I called my actual housing office and no one mentioned making a call. Liz is the one who handles my case, so it feels like a scam to me, probably trying to trick people into handing over cash under the pretence of rent issues.

Today, I received a rather curious phone call from a gentleman who purported to represent an organisation called 'National Debt Recovery' or something along those lines. He wanted to chat about my financial obligations and the criteria I needed to fulfil for them to potentially wipe some of it away. While he came across as courteous and understanding, there was a peculiar vibe about the conversation that raised my suspicions. So, opting for caution, I politely declined and ended the call. After that, I took to Google to dig a little deeper into the number and the supposed company. To my shock, I discovered a wealth of information! It appears that this was nothing more than a scam, and I had narrowly avoided falling prey to a con.
