I had a rather dubious phone call today from a so-called Windows support firm claiming they noticed various alerts popping up on my computer. They insisted I log into my PC to confirm these issues. They provided a number, 61390105652, which appears to be nothing more than a phantom. They mentioned being based in Birmingham, yet the call unmistakably came from abroad. Although they denied being Microsoft, they somehow had access to my postcode. When I pressed them for a specific error message-given that there’s no way they could be monitoring my computer-they resorted to some rather colourful language before abruptly hanging up on me. Interestingly, the call seemed to originate from 0172711. Quite the experience, I must say!

Received a call on our landline from someone claiming to be a ex-director. They merely asked, “When?” and then hung up abruptly. Didn’t bother to answer when they called again immediately after.
