Got a text asking if I'd got any finance on my car sometime from 2007 to 2021. Totally random and I wasn't expecting it. After reading some of the comments here, I’ve decided to just ignore it.

Got a message out of the blue about a free boiler replacement. Thought it was a scam at first, but then I looked it up and it seemed legit. Still, felt a bit dodgy getting something like that out of nowhere!

A few months back, I got an email saying I might get a grant for a new boiler. I replied with YES since the boiler in my house has been there since I bought it back in 1984. Then, all of a sudden today, I got a text on my mobile saying they’ve been trying to reach me and that I’ve been approved for a government grant. They asked me to reply YES if I still wanted to proceed. I haven’t answered because even though my boiler might need replacing, it just feels like a scam to me. Better to be cautious than get caught out.
